What is the SKU?

Communist Youth of Sweden is the youthgroup of the Swedish Communist Party (SKP)

The SKU has its origins in the progress of the workers movement in Sweden, we are part of the inernational workers- and youth movement. The Bourgeois and its followers have persecuted and discriminated the communists and its youth during a long period of time. Sometimes they have tried to silence us or stating that we have different views from what we claim. In their media we have never gotten the same opportunities as other political beliefs. That only strengthen us knowing that our politics aim to abolish their classpriviliges. We have had a few difficult years, but now the movement is marching forward again and we are growing in numbers and local organisations.

Communism is a political ideology and focuses on the idea of a society with no classes ,where everyone has the same opportunities to decide over the progress of society. We demand True Democracy -which demands that the people also controls the deciding economy. Our goal is a society where the peoples needs decide before the capital. We fight for a society where hunger and poverty is abolished. A society where there doesnt exist a military force and where democracy means more than just voting every fourth year. We fight for peace and demand an end of all swedish production of weapons. Put the money to use for the society instead of the biljondevouring military projects.

We fight for the enviroment and international justice. Today the rich part of the world is plundering the third-world countries. The capitalist world is growing more and more brutal, with increased differences, huge enviromental problems, biljons live benath or on the brink of starvation and with a superpower constantly at war to secure its economic interests.

To turn the matter around we have to work internationally and that is what the SKU is doing. We have sister- and brotherorganisations in most of the worlds countries.

We are active in the struggle against racism and exploitation, poverty, enviromental damage and the capitalist system as a whole. At the same time we are working on strengthening our own organisation. There are many problems to solve. We need your help in the struggle against capitalism -Organize!
